Description
Aluminum type 5556 is an aluminum alloy with higher levels of manganese, zinc, and magnesium; this allows for increased crack resistance and ductility. This alloy is not suited for applications in prolonged temperatures above 150℉.
Typical chemistry:
Si: 0.25% | Fe: 0.40% | Cu: 0.10% | Mn: 1.00% | Mg: 5.50% | Cr: 0.20% | Zn: 0.25% | Ti: 0.20%
